A batch of Merinas exceeds 1.900 euros at the Zafra Spring Fair Auction

on sunday 3 April, within the framework of the Zafra Spring Fair, was celebrated National Auction of Merino cattle, activity in which several males and females participated and which had a good number of interested ranchers, according to reports from the Zafra City Council.

Of the batches of females presented, which had starting prices of between 1.300 y 1.800 euros, were awarded a total of 12 for a total auction of 19.630 euros . The highest price was achieved by a lot presented by Joaquín Ortiz, what, starting from 1.800 euros reached 1.910 euros, followed by two other lots from the same livestock that were sold at 1.800 euros, your starting price.

In the case of males, were awarded a total of 15 animals, raising the total auction to 6.510 euros. In this case, The two specimens that reached the highest auction also belonged to Joaquín Ortiz, males that, starting from 500 euros, they reached the 610 euros in its final price.

Regarding the Black Merino, The two males presented were awarded for a total auction of 600 euros.

The mayor of Zafra, Jose Carlos Contreras, attended the Auction and has positively valued its development and the data obtained, highlighting that it has sold more than 80% of livestock and that the recent rains have led to the growing participation of livestock farmers.
